Instructions

Easy to make, even for a novice cook.

Ingredients – two packet cake mixes (one vanilla and one chocolate).

– 500ml vanilla custard (pre made from supermarket).

– one packet of sweet biscuits.

– cooking chocolate and walnuts.

Bake the cakes as per directions on packets. Once cooled, break up the cakes by hand into a bowl (roughly golf ball sized chunks). Add the vanilla custard and gently mix cakes and custard together by hand (a bit messy, but if you do it any other way the cakes break up too much). Place the whole mix into a new kitty litter tray.

Put the biscuits into a plastic bag and smash them until they are crumbs. Sprinkle this over the top of the contents of the kitty litter tray, reserving some (about 2 tablespoons worth) for later.

Heat the cooking chocolate until melted, then add small bits of walnuts. This mix can either be piped onto wax paper or moulded by hand when a bit cooler into shapes that look like… um… something that originated from a cat’s lower intestine. Place these creations on top of the biscuit litter and sprinkle with the reserved biscuit crumbs to give that partially buried look.

Keep in the refrigerator until party time. Serve with a kitty litter scoop.kittylitter
